Colladeen Double Strength (Anthocyanidins 160mg) Tablets

Anthocyanidins (also known as OPCs) are a type of antioxidant flavonoid present naturally in dark skinned fruits such as bilberries. DOUBLE STRENGTH COLLADEEN is an exceptionally potent source of OPCs. Anthocyanidins have been well researched, and have shown to be useful in the management of a wide variety of conditions, including fluid retention, swollen ankles, skin problems and gout.

When excess fluid builds up in soft tissues it is usually seen as puffy ankles or fingers; it may show up as a larger waist or bust, but wherever it occurs it is an annoying problem for many women and not necessarily linked to weight gain. This can be a major problem premenstrually, when some women can hold as much as 2 kilos of extra fluid. When this happens, it is a sign of leaky blood vessels, usually caused by free radical damage to the collagen that makes up the blood vessel walls.

Anthocyanidins have the ability to 'seal up' leaky blood vessels in the way nature intended while putting the brakes on free radical damage and encouraging healthy circulation.

And it is not just blood vessels that are made of collagen. It is also responsible for the suppleness and firmness of skin and it has long been recognised that skin health and complexion is influenced to a great degree by dietary factors, and it is likely that a diet rich in fruit, providing a high level of anthocyanidins, will help to keep skin young.

Many diets are deficient in purple coloured fruits and vegetables, so supplementation can be an economical and convenient alternative to blueberries, blackberries and beetroot.
