Horse Chestnut Complex Tablets
Horse Chestnut and Butcher's Broom have been used for many centuries by medical herbalists. Traditionally these two herbs have been prescribed for a number of conditions associated with defective veins. These include varicose veins, haemorrhoids and puffy ankles. Research has confirmed the validity of this approach, and as a result,it has become a very popular herbal combination.
Hundreds of acres of HORSE CHESTNUT trees have been planted in the UK and Europe to supply the demand for 'conkers' by pharmaceutical and herbal product manufacturers. These are collected in the autumn and processed to produce a concentrated extract rich in a compound called aescin.
Butcher's Broom is a shrubby, spiky leaved plant native to the UK that has been traditionally used in herbal medicine.
