Vitex agnus castus 1000mg Tablets

The herb Vitex (Agnus Castus) has grown in popularity in recent years with many published studies demonstrating its important properties in areas concerned with female hormone balance: PMS, acne, perimenopause, menstrual problems. Vitex is thought to produce its beneficial effects via action on the pituitary gland. It works synergistically with Evening Primrose oil, Vitamin B6 and Magnesium.

Vitex is a member of the Verbanaceae family, with long spires of pale lilac coloured flowers. It is the fruit that contains the active phenolic compounds called flavonoids (notably casticin) which are unique to this plant. It has many centuries of herbal use, and has the colloquial name of 'chaste tree', due to its use by monks in days gone by!

Directions:
Recommended daily intake: 1 tablet, taken first thing upon waking.
